In 1976, Dr. Frances Wu established the Chinese American Golden Age Association (CAGAA). The mission of CAGAA is to provide affordable housing for seniors and develop a culturally comprehensive program designed to meet their physical, social, language and psychological needs.

The story of Golden Age Village
After working in the New York area for over 15 years, Dr. Frances Wu saw a great need to provide services for the elderly Chinese, especially for new immigrants from Hong Kong and Taiwan in the late 1960s.
